JOEL GOLDENBERG DDS
From the moment that he attended the prestigious Bronx High School of Science he knew he wanted to be a dentist. At least that’s what his mother wanted for her “nice Jewish boy” and she ingrained in him that calling.
Following his graduation from Rutgers University he chose to pursue and enjoyed a successful sales career with a manufacturer of medical and dental equipment. Traveling every week around the world, staying in nice hotels and dining at fancy restaurants, he interacted with some of the greatest leaders in medicine and dentistry. But he was discontent as he now had a family and didn’t want to see his children grow up with him absent. At the age of 30 he made a life-altering decision and was accepted into the New York University College of Dentistry.
While in dental school, his experience as a parent came in useful as he excelled in treating children and was elected as President of the American Society of Dentistry for Children’s school chapter. At his graduation in 2002, his proud mother merely said “I told you so. What took you so long?”
A 1 year General Practice residency at Peninsula Hospital was followed by a successful associateship in Franklin Square and then as owner of a growing practice in East Rockaway until it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Not one to be deterred by challenges, he continued to improve his knowledge and in 2016 was elected as President of the New York State Academy of General Dentistry. Continuing education and providing the highest level of care to his patients has been a pillar that that he has established for himself.
Joining the National Dental family was an easy decision for him as its core value “What’s best for the patient?” is exactly what he wants to offer. Trained and skilled in all facets of general dentistry, Dr. Goldenberg provides expertise ranging from routine dental exams to placing dental implants, to replacing missing teeth.
“Easy to talk to”…”Answered all my questions”…”Spent time with me”…”He’s like a normal person”… these are just some of the things Dr. Goldenberg’s patients have said about him!
